Galt Manned a Tank's Machinegun turret and led his battalion into battle and sacrificed his life for the country
Captain William Galt volunteered to lead a battalion on an attach that had recently failed twice. The setting was Villa Crocetta, Italy during World War II. When the last remaining American destroyer tank refused to advance to battle, Captain Galt jumped atop the tank and successfully ordered it forward and manned the .30-caliber machinegun turret on the tank.
