Technician Wilson Tended to Others Despite his own Severe Wounds

October 6th, 2005-- Technician 5th Grade Alfred L. Wilson volunteered as an aid man for a different company from his own. He was severely wounded while tending to others but refused to leave the battle. Despite great pain and blood loss, he persevered until he could only crawl and barely whisper. He only stopped when lapsing into unconsciousness...

MOH Recipient Joseph Rodriguez has left this world
November 1st, 2005--
Then Pfc Joseph Rodriguez made a courageous single man charge up a hill packed with five gun emplacement with heavy machine-gun fire and small arms fire with grenades rolling down the hill. Rodriguez lobbed grenades into the first foxhole with deadly accuracy and continued on...

MOH Recipient Reginald Myers is no longer with us
October 23rd, 2005--
Despite being outnumbered 250 to 4,000, Major Reginald Myers directed his men valiantly amidst the freezing snow swept slopes of Korea. He put himself in the line of deadly fire on several occasions to direct critical counterattack maneuvers to retake critical ground before daylight...

MOH presented to Korean War Veteran
at the White House on September 23rd, 2005

September 21st, 2005--
For actions occurring between 1950-1953, Cpl. Tibor Rubin has been recognized with the Congressional Medal of Honor. The ceremony will took place at the White House on Friday, September 23rd 2005. MOH Recipient Admiral James B. Stockdale passes away
June 29th, 2005--
Admiral James Stockdale dies on July 5th, 2005. While a Captain during the Vietnam conflict, Mr. Stockdale was forced to eject from his A-4 Skyhawk plane. He landed in the streets of a small North Vietnamese village and broke a bone in his back. The townspeople came down upon him and beat him mercilessly. He was then take to the Hoa Lo Prison (aka "Hanoi Hilton"). At one point he spent 4 years in total darkness in solitary confinement. At one point he mutilated himself just before the North Vietnamese hoped to display him in the streets as an example of fair treatment. On another occasion he slit his wrists to show his captors they could never force a bogus confession out of him. The captors saved his life and then agreed to cease torturing him and other prisoners into giving such confessions. For such selfless action, Adm. Stockdale was recognized with the Medal of Honor.

MOH Recipient General Robert E. Galer has died
June 29th, 2005--
General Robert E. Galer passed away on June 27th, 2005. While a Major and leader of a fighter squadron over the Solomon Islands area of the Pacific, Major Galer shot down 11 enemy aircraft over a period of 29 days. Under his leadership the squadron totaled 27 downed Japanese planes.
