Congressional Medal of Honor Society

The Medal of Honor Museum

A Museum for the Extraordinary

The Society's Museum is home to the Medal of Honor, the Recipients who wear it, and the values inherent in the Medal - courage, commitment, integrity, sacrifice, citizenship, and patriotism.

Designed to bring the Recipients' stories to life, the museum is located on board the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant, SC. Interactive exhibits focus on Recipients' stories from various wars and a searchable database allows visitors to explore all Medal of Honor citations. Permanent exhibits of artifacts tangibly connect the past and present.

The last gallery focuses on how a Recipient's moment of valor can have a lasting impact on the United States' story. It is a moment for visitors to reflect and gather further inspiration on how their own lives can make a difference - how embracing the Medal of Honor values can impact those around them and the world we live in.

Pay a visit today, and show respect to those who went "above and beyond the call of duty" - reflect on their stories and then build your own.
