Medal of Honor Recipients selected the Tunnels to Towers Foundation of Staten Island, New York as the 2022 Citizen Honors Award for Community Service Honoree for their commitment to military service members and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

Tunnels to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who lost his life saving others on September 11, 2001. They build mortgage-free smart homes for our most critically injured veterans and first responders.  These homes are designed to address the unique needs of each individual and help them reclaim their day-to-day independence. Tunnels to Towers Foundation has raised $250 million in support of our nation’s greatest heroes and their families. As Tunnels to Towers continues their mission, their work reflects great credit upon the state of New York and the United States of America.
