Citizenship with Pete the Cat

  1. Introduction

    As the starting point to our citizenship lessons, this module introduces kindergarten students to the word "citizenship" and its meaning, discusses how Pete the Cat demonstrates good citizenship, and highlights ways that they can be good citizens at school. All necessary materials are accessible within the lesson, including the Citizenship with Pete the Cat Lesson PDF, Eric Litwin's Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, and the lesson template to guide your activities. Other elements include a whole group activity, a concluding activity, and a post-lesson assessment.
