Making a Difference

  1. Introduction

    With the "Make a Difference" lesson, your elementary students will identify how a person they know is making a difference in the world, and draw inspiration from them. Meant for second-grade classrooms and split into two 30-minute sessions, your students will gain an understanding of the outward impact they're capable of making through a combination of individual and whole group activities. Necessary materials include Barbara Cooney's Miss Rumphius and the provided Making a Difference Lesson PDF.

    • Identify and explain how a person they know is making a difference in the world
