Free Self-Guided Video Lessons and Assignments for History Teachers

Path to Honor is a free, interactive platform designed to be self-directed or teacher-led, allowing students to explore and learn important concepts that are the cornerstones of a thriving and just society. This resource will help you nurture these values by:

What Do Our Free Self-Guided Video History Lessons Offer History Teachers? 

Path to Honor is designed for middle and high school students to use independently or with teacher assistance on any device with Internet access. This program is a flexible and simple tool that fosters character development and incorporates it into everyday learning applications. 

With this inspiring program, you will encourage self-exploration of the core values we espouse  with free video history lessons and assignments that are particularly engaging for students interested in stories of military heroes. This portal is user-friendly and intuitive. 

Here’s how it works:

• Students visit the site (either with a Google account or as a guest) and watch a short video about the Medal of Honor before choosing which value path they want to start with.
• Each of the six values is explored through five-minute videos that also trace the steps of several Medal of Honor Recipients. 
• Students hear stories in the Recipients’ own words and share how they would react in the same situation, learn how the Recipient responded, and reflect on the values on display while making a personal connection with the character value. 
• Students download completion certificates for each activity.
• You review their answer to the final prompt.
• Your students feel more prepared and inspired to walk down a Path to Honor.
