Character Development Program: Online Training
Our world has gone more digital than ever, and the Medal of Honor Character Development Program is rising to the challenge with a new training program. For educators who want […]
As part of our Medal of Honor Character Development Program, we are proud to provide a variety of resources to help teachers learn about the Medal of Honor and its Recipients. One of these resources is our free, in-person training sessions, and we are excited to host educators and community leaders at several of these sessions across the country this summer. Below, you will find more information on what our in-person training for educators entails and how to participate in our upcoming events.
About Our In-Person Training
During our in-person training, our trainers will introduce teachers to the Medal of Honor, demonstrate many ways to utilize the lessons in the curriculum, and provide time for collaboration and planning. By the end of the day, teachers will be prepared to use the materials with their students.
Our in-person training sessions are free of charge, and those who attend will also receive all of our resources during the session. A light lunch will also be provided to those who participate. These sessions are a great, free resource for educators to discover important techniques for teaching the subject matter to their students.
How to Participate
This summer we will be hosting the following in-person training sessions for middle and high school educators, counselors, coaches, administrators, and community leaders:
June 23rd: Chicago, Illinois – Featuring Medal of Honor Recipient Allen Lynch
We are also excited to announce that we will be participating in two educator seminars with Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge this summer. These seminars feature a Medal of Honor Character Development Program training as well as an opportunity to meet a Medal of Honor Recipient. Note the registration for these seminars is coordinated by Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. Please visit their website for more information.
As a reminder, we will be strictly following and enforcing all Covid-19 health guidelines presented by each training location.
