Harlem Hell Fighter: Henry Johnson & the Medal of Honor

Henry Johnson served in World War I as private in the 369th Infantry Regiment, otherwise known as the "Harlem Hell Fighters." He was recognized for valor with the Distinguished Service Cross during the War. In 2015, nearly 100 years after his valorous acts, his award was upgraded to the Medal of Honor. His story is one of heroism and perseverance in the face of discrimination and segregation. This is his story.
