Introducing the Character Development Program

  1. Introduction

    Introduce your students to the Medal of Honor Character Development Program and its six core values: Courage, Commitment, Sacrifice, Citizenship, Integrity, and Patriotism. Designed for grades K-2, this lesson will teach your students about the Medal of Honor's six core values through a combination of group activities. Necessary materials include six pieces of 18' x 4' construction paper, six envelopes, the core value word template, and the provided Introducing the Character Development Program Lesson PDF and Template.

  2. Objectives

    Students Will:

    • Learn about the Medal of Honor Character Development Program and the core values of courage, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, integrity, and patriotism

    • Collaborate to build a core value word
