Patriot Award Week
Every year, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society hosts Patriot Award Week to honor Americans who possess the highest caliber of ethics and selfless dedication in the demonstration of the six values embodied by the Medal of Honor — courage and sacrifice, commitment and integrity, citizenship and patriotism.
The Congressional Medal of Honor Society Patriot Award is the highest award the Society can bestow upon an individual. The award is reserved for Americans who have distinguished themselves through a lifetime of work upholding the ideals represented by the Society. Their dedication to freedom is unlimited; their love of their fellow man is unqualified; their allegiance to our country with full understanding of its demands is without reservation.
During this special week, the Society highlights its many programs and initiatives like the Medal of Honor Character Development Program, Recipient Outreach Program, Veterans Outreach Program, Corporate Outreach Program, and Citizen Honors Award. These programs help bolster the mission of perpetuating the legacy of the Medal of Honor and its core values.
In addition to these program highlights, Patriot Award Week includes a regal gala where the Patriot Award is presented to the honorees. Recipients of this award will be formally recognized for their outstanding contributions to service members, Veterans, military families, and our nation. This year’s honorees are Gary Sinise (founder, Gary Sinise Foundation), and David McIntyre (president/CEO, TriWest Healthcare Alliance)! These distinguished gentlemen live the six values embodied in the Medal of Honor and provide priceless support to Veterans, military families, and our nation.
