Jon E. Swanson |
Captain Jon Swanson piloted an OH-6A in Cambodia and intrepidly destroyed 5 enemy bunkers and 3 enemy anti-aircraft guns before. Despite being crippled by enemy fire and running low on ammunition, Swanson continued his mission until his aircraft exploded in mid-air and crashed resulting in his death.
The Medal of Honor was presented to Jon
E. Swanson on May 1st, 2002.
